His translations include François-René de Chateaubriand's Memoirs from Beyond the Grave, 1768–1800 (NYRB Classics) and Roberto Bazlen's Notes Without a Text (Dalkey Archive Press).
As editor, he has put together five special issues of The Review of Contemporary Fiction, including numbers dedicated to the work of Roberto Calasso, Kathryn Davis, and Markus Werner, and assembled the 2018 and 2019 volumes of the anthology Best European Fiction. He is a contributing editor at the Public Domain Review.
