His translations include François-René de Chateaubriand's Memoirs from Beyond the Grave, 1768–1800 (NYRB Classics), Roberto Bazlen's Notes Without a Text (Dalkey Archive Press), and Paul Lafargue's The Right to Be Lazy and Other Writings (forthcoming from NYRB Classics).
As an editor, he has put together several special issues of The Review of Contemporary Fiction, including numbers dedicated to the work of Roberto Calasso, Kathryn Davis, and Markus Werner; assembled Best European Fiction 2018 and 2019 (Dalkey Archive Press); and is currently at work on The Uncollected Essays of Elizabeth Hardwick.
